How long can I leave my Dish Network DVR unplugged without a problem?

We are going on vacation for 12 days. I want to unplug all the appliances in the house, but mostly the DVR because we’ve been having some problems with the receiver lately. Dont want it to overheat when we are in another state! Anyway, can I leave the thing unplugged for the entire time we are away? Will it switch right back on when we return?

Why do we get “out of region” msg when tuning RSNs on Dish Network?
