Can I use a wireless usb adapter on my dish network box?

Has anyone experienced a reduction in their HD quality from Dish Network?

Back in February 2007, it appears as though there was an issue where Dish Network had pushed an update to their receiver which reduced the quality of the HD picture.
I called the Tech support line and they advised me that I needed to install an HDMI cable to get a better picture. I responed that my composite cables had worked fine for nearly a year and I didn’t feel that I should have to invest in a $50 cable to fix a problem caused by them. Has anyone else found that they had reduced quality in their HD picture from Dish Network?
